Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is cloudy from west to east today. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the districts of western UP. Along with this, light to moderate rain is also expected in other districts of the state till the 6th of this month. Meteorologists have predicted that districts of western Uttar Pradesh may receive heavy rainfall with strong winds and thundershowers across the state.

Earlier, the MET department had issued a yellow alert for 18 districts of UP including capital Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ayodhya, Amethi, Basti, Sultanpur, Pilibhit, Badaun, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Farrukhabad, Aligarh, Hathras, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Jaunpur, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur. By the way, people who keep an eye on seasonal activities say that this time different colours are being seen in the season of Sawan. It's raining, but less than expected. On Wednesday also, it rained in different parts of the state, but light to moderate.

So far, 17.2 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Lucknow, 48.3 in Kanpur, 6.2 in Hardoi, 49 in Hamirpur, 19 in Etawah and 24.6 mm in Banda. With this, light rain has been received in Orai, Jhansi, Bareilly and Bahraich districts. On Wednesday, Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27.9 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say that due to rain, the day temperature has dropped in the entire state.
