Heavy rain may increase threat in THESE states including Delhi, today

New Delhi: Monsoon is currently active in most parts of India. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted the highest rainfall in many parts of India and issued alerts. Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Karnataka are in a flood situation due to rain. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar will receive the highest rainfall on Friday.

The rain will continue till 9th August for the next 4 days. This may also bring heavy rainfall in UP and Uttarakhand. In addition, rainfall is also expected in Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. In Madhya Pradesh, a yellow alert has been sounded in 17 cities while an orange alert has been issued in 6 cities. Thousands of people are being taken to safer places. A red alert has been sounded in Rajasthan.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the next 48 hours in The Indian Capital, Delhi. The scorching heat may provide relief to the distressed people from the rain on Friday. According to the met department, there is also a possibility of strong wind accompanied by rain till noon.
