Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered another major setback in West Bengal. BJP MLA Krishna Kalyani has resigned from the party. Krishna Kalyani has resigned on Friday. Earlier, Krishna Kalyani had refused to attend any party function after a dispute with the party president Basudev sarkar.

Since then, there have been speculations about Krishna Kalyani's resignation. In West Bengal, BJP leaders continue to quit the party. Recently, Babul Supriyo left the BJP and joined TMC. Mamata had earlier also retreated several leaders to TMC. BJP MLA from Raiganj seat Krishna Kalyani was issued a show-cause notice by the party a day before the resignation. The party had issued the notice to him after his statement against BJP MP Debashree Chaudhary in Raiganj.

Krishna Kalyani has now announced to quit the party the day after the notice. Krishna Kalyani says he cannot live in a party that has MPs like Debashree Chaudhary. He is yet to reveal which party Krishna Kalyani will join after resigning from the BJP.
