Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is likely to meet PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday. She is likely to discuss with PM Modi the pending central grants and other demands from Bengal. Banerjee will leave for Delhi on Tuesday and the likely time for Wednesday's meeting is 4.30 pm.

The meeting comes at a time when the CBI is trying to arrest Rajiv Kumar, additional director general of the CID, in the Saradha chit fund scam case. Rajiv Kumar is regarded as the favorite officer of CM Mamata Banerjee. Mamata Banerjee's office had sought time on her behalf to meet Modi to discuss various issues in the state. CM Mamata is likely to discuss the alleged reduction in state allocations on development projects and the advancement of Centre-State welfare schemes by the Central Government.

In addition, the final list of NRC in Assam, issues relating to infiltration, development projects of the Central and State Governments in Naxalite areas are likely to be discussed in the meeting. Mamata Banerjee will also meet leaders of various parties during her stay in the national capital. She will probably leave for Kolkata on Thursday or Friday.
