Kolkata: The ongoing tussle between West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has now taken a new turn. Due to this, a new chapter is going to be added to the history of the West Bengal Assembly. In fact, the Bengal Governor has called the assembly session at 2 am on March 7. 

Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar himself tweeted, "The assembly session after midnight is unprecedented in history, but it is a cabinet decision." Earlier, the governor had tweeted that no proposal had come to him to convene the assembly session of the state. There was a confrontation between the governor and the Bengal government over this. Now the governor has called the assembly session at 2 am.

Let me tell you that, the proposed assembly session is the budget session. The session begins with the Governor's address. The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) government is scheduled to present the General Budget for the financial year 2022-23 on March 11. During the same session, a censure motion has also been said to be brought against the governor.
