New Delhi: Coronavirus, which has been in constant chaos for the past several days, is no longer taking the name of freezing. Every day the outbreak of this virus is increasing, due to which the human aspect has reached the brink of destruction. The infection of a new disease has made it difficult for people to live. The name of this virus is West Nile virus and mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus were discovered in Palm Desert, the first identification of the virus so far this year in Riverside County, with officials today announcing that infected mosquitoes were collected from two nets. One near the Shadow Mountain Golf Club on Portola Avenue, and the other near Highway 74 and Mesa View Drive, said the Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District. Tammy Gordon, spokesperson for the district, said, "An infected mosquito bite can make a person sick. When mosquitoes are most active, we need to use repetition in the morning and evening."

Vector control and county health officials said that currently there are no reported human cases of West Nile virus in California. WNV reaches people and animals with infected mosquito bites. There is no cure, and one in five infected individuals will display symptoms that may include fever, headache, body aches, nausea, or skin rash. Symptoms may last from several days to months. One in 150 people infected with the virus will need to be hospitalized. Severe symptoms include high fever, muscle weakness, neck stiffness, coma, paralysis, and possibly death. Those at greatest risk include people and individuals associated with the immune system. The mosquito season in Southern California is generally from May to October. To reduce exposure to the West Nile virus, residents are urged to:

- Spend as little time outside as possible in the morning or evening

- Wear pants and long-sleeved shirts during outdoor activity

- Use insect repellent, with the active ingredients DEET, Picaridin.

- Make sure the doors and window curtains are properly installed.

- Get rid of standing water, treat it properly from one side of the pool.
