DNC DAY-4 LIVE: In her acceptance speech for the Democratic presidential nomination, Kamala Harris outlined her commitment to maintaining America's military strength and supporting global allies. Harris, 59, vowed to ensure the U.S. remains the world's most formidable fighting force and to uphold its commitments to Israel, Ukraine, and NATO allies if elected president.

Addressing the Democratic National Convention, Harris emphasized her readiness to take decisive action to protect American interests and forces against threats from Iran and affiliated terrorists. She also criticized former President Donald Trump, accusing him of being susceptible to manipulation by authoritarian leaders like North Korea's Kim Jong-un.

"As President, I will never waver in defense of America's security and ideals," Harris declared. "I know where I stand in the battle between democracy and tyranny, and where the United States belongs."

Drawing from her experience as Vice President, Harris highlighted her efforts to confront security threats, negotiate with international leaders, and support U.S. troops. She promised to continue honoring and supporting the military if elected Commander-in-Chief.

In contrast, Harris criticized Trump for his stance on NATO and Russia, alleging that he encouraged Russian aggression and undermined the alliance. She recalled meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shortly before Russia's invasion, helping to mobilize global support to counteract Putin's aggression.

Regarding the Gaza conflict, Harris expressed her and President Biden's ongoing efforts to broker a ceasefire and secure the release of hostages. She reaffirmed her support for Israel's right to defend itself and condemned the recent violence and suffering caused by Hamas.

"The situation in Gaza has been devastating," Harris said. "We are working tirelessly to end this conflict, ensuring Israel's security, alleviating the suffering in Gaza, and supporting the Palestinian people's right to dignity and self-determination."
