New Delhi: Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen has made a statement on the matter after the Taliban captured Afghanistan. He tweeted, "In the 21st century, the Taliban is occupying the same land as Muhammad in the 7th century. It is a 'medieval era' in our modern times." Taslima Nasreen's tweet has angered many social media users while many have supported Taslima.
The Taliban captured the land in 21st century the way Muhammad captured the land in 7th century. There is a piece of 'middle ages' in our modern era.

Omar, a social media user, commented on Taslima Nasreen's tweet and wrote, "It was this "medieval era" that defeated the modern army of the 21st century. What do you want to say?' Another Twitter user, SK Muzaffar, wrote, 'A traitor is giving knowledge to others. A Twitter user named Yousafzain described Taslima Nasreen as 'Munafiqin (Hypocrote or double-minded)' and wrote, 'How many will come up to doom like you, but Islam will not suffer anything.'
