New Delhi: With rain in various states of the country, power is also wreaking havoc, including the names of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. According to media reports, more than 60 people have been killed and several others injured in lightning strikes in these states. PM Modi has expressed grief over the incidents. In a tweet, he said, the loss of lives due to lightning in many parts is heart-rending. He has also announced compensation for the families of those killed in the disaster. However, this is not the first time that a large number of people have been killed due to lightning, but hundreds of people died last year also. Therefore, it is important that people take precautions on their own during the rainy season and do not leave the house during rains and thunderbolts. In that case, we tell you what should be taken care of in case of lightning.

-Do not leave the house immediately after the lightning strikes. Met department experts point out that lightning strikes only cause more deaths 30 minutes after the storm passes.

-If you are sure that electricity cannot fall twice in the same place, you are wrong. So, be sure to take care of this.

-If there are clouds thundering around you and you are getting goosebumps, there may be a possibility of lightning. In such a situation, it is necessary that you lean down and sit on your feet, place your hands on the knee and the head between the two knees. This will minimize your contact with the ground. In that case, you will also have less risk.

-If it is raining and lightning is crackling, do not use an umbrella or mobile phone, as electricity can enter your body through metal.

-If a person is electrocuted, ask for his doctor's help as soon as possible. Remember that touching a person who has been electrocuted will not harm you.

-If a person has been electrocuted, check his pulse immediately and give it if he wants to be given first aid.

-Met department experts point out that lightning is likely to burn at two places in the body. The first, from where the celestial lightning entered the body and second, the place from which it came out, such as the soles of the foot.

-Lightning on the body can break a person's bones, stop hearing or appearance, or even cause death. So be careful.
