Ananya Panday is one of the renowned faces in Bollywood of a new generation. The actress is celebrating today. She is the daughter of  Chunky Pandey, and his wife, Bhavana Pandey The actress made her Bollywood debut from Student of the Year 2. The actress remains in controversy due to her statements. On her birthday let us recall the time when the actress got brutally trolled for her statement on Nepotism.

Once Ananya was asked about the nepotism debate and the actress had stated that her dad has never featured in a Dharma film or appeared on the chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’. She had further added that it was not as easy as people say and that everyone has their own journey and struggle.

The line Everyone has their own struggle landed Ananya Panday in trouble. Reacting to it, Siddhant Chaturvedi, who was also a part of the roundtable, had stated, “The difference is jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai (their struggle begins where our dreams are fulfilled)”. As soon as it catches the eyes of people, social media is flooded with the memes and interview of her. This was the first time when Anaya received such criticism. Annaya Panday later clarified her statement and wrote, "Basically, I agree. But also I think that Sid and I were kind of saying the same thing. Sometimes, in interviews, as you can see, I'm very overwhelmed. If I had to go back, I would probably change the way I said something." Now Ananya is one of the easy targets for troll and frequently got criticized for her statements.

On the work front, Ananya Panday made her debut in Bollywood with  comedy-romance film  Student of the year 2 (2019) in 2019. The film was produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, starring Tara Sutaria and  Tiger Shroff alongside Panday.She made a special appearance as a dancer in Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium (2020). Ananya  also starred in Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019).
