Patna: JDU MP from Bihar's Karakat Lok Sabha seat Mahabali Singh attacked the central government fiercely on Thursday during the budget talks. He enumerated the schemes pending for 15-16 years and accused the government of providing lies and assurances. He said that Railway Minister Piyush Goyal had said that the factory in Dalmia Nagar would be made operational by 2022 and handed over to the public.

Mahabali Singh said that you tell only lies. Targeting the central government, he said that since independence in this country till now, the majority of society is drinking the poison of humiliation. Mahabali Singh raised the issue of the system of inequality and said that you have to uplift those who have been thrown down under the caste system. For this everyone will have to give participation in the judiciary, legislature, and all the regiments. The JDU MP demanded a caste census and said that when animals, lions, bears, and leopards can be counted in the country then why not the castes? He said that till the census is not done, it will not be known how many people belong to which caste. In such a situation, how can the government give a share?

He said that if you want Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and a developed nation, then you should get a caste census done. Mahabali Singh also referred to the incidents of Dalits being prevented from riding horses and the seats won by the BJP in Bihar in the 2019 general elections and alleged that the government had cheated Bihar. The JDU MP said that the people of Bihar want special status. He said that when Jharkhand was separated from Bihar, the government had assured that Bihar would be brought under the category of developed states by giving a special package. JDU MP asked the government where are the special packages.
