New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, while replying in Parliament on President Ram Nath Kovind's address, surrounded the Congress fiercely. He took a dig at the Congress for the freedom of speech. PM Modi said how Lata Mangeshkar's family was treated. You should also think about this. Lata ji's family was from Goa. His younger brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar was fired from his All India Radio (AIR) job because he had read a poem by Veer Savarkar on the radio.

PM Modi said that the crime of Hridaynath Mangeshkar was that he had heard a patriotic poem of Veer Savarkar on the radio. After which he was fired from the job within 8 days. Earlier, in his address to the Lok Sabha on Monday, while attacking the Congress, PM Modi had mentioned Pandit Nehru several times.

Referring to Nehru on the issue of inflation, PM Modi said, 'What did Panditji say to the Red Fort. Sometimes the war in Korea also affects us, due to which the price of the goods increases and it goes out of our control. If anything happens in America, it also affects inflation. Think Nehru ji used to say this even at that time, when globalization was not so much.
