Jaipur: A strange incident was witnessed during a court trial in Jaipur, Rajasthan. In fact, the adj court is hearing the murder of Shashikant Sharma of the Chandwaji police station area. During the hearing, the court ordered the submission of evidence and documents related to the murder case. In such a situation, the police gave a written reply in the court saying that the evidence related to the case and the recovered weapons (knives) were kept in the bag in which the monkey was taken away.

The police told the court that they had brought the knife and other items tied in a pouch. There was not enough space in the warehouse at that time. So they placed the bag containing the evidence near a tree. During this time, the monkey sitting on the tree came down and he took the bag and went away. In a written reply given in the court, the police also said that a report in this regard has also been filed in the journal in 2016 itself. The public prosecutor objected to the police's reply, saying it was strange to take away the knife and other seized evidence by a monkey. At the same time, the court also expressed displeasure over this argument of the police. Now, a letter has also been written to the Superintendent of Police, Jaipur Rural in the matter asking him to clarify the position in the matter. Apart from this, other officials, including the DGP, have been sent letters asking them to give an explanation. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for Wednesday.

In September 2016, the body of a man named Shashikant Sharma was recovered from near the health centre in the Chandwaji police station area of Jaipur. Three days before the incident, Shashikant had gone missing and his family members were searching. However, when Shashikant's body was recovered, the family members blocked the Jaipur-Delhi highway and demanded an inquiry into the matter. The negligence of the police came to light after the investigation. After which a sub-inspector was also suspended. Apart from this, two people were also arrested on charges of murder. Police had seized several items, including the knife used in the crime, from the possession of the accused.
