Jalore: A pandit of a temple in the Jalore district of Rajasthan prevented the Dalit bride and groom from entering the temple and misbehaving with them. The incident took place at the Neelkanth Mahadev temple in Bhadraju. A video of the whole case has also gone viral. In which it can be seen how the Pandit is telling the Dalit bride and groom to bow their head from outside.

When the same groom and his family opposed it, they had an argument with the priest's side. The groom alleges that the priest prevented him from entering the temple and performing puja. The priest Vela Bharati told them to bow their heads outside because that is the place for them to worship. The victim's groom complained to the police. Taking action, SP Harsh Vardhan Agarwala directed the Bhadrajuan Police station in-charge to file a case under the SC-ST Act against Pandit. The groom said that on April 21, they had arrived at Sadhan village in Ahor with a procession. After taking the vows on Thursday, the farewell was to take place on Friday. But according to Rajasthani tradition, before the departure, the bride and groom had to offer puja and coconut in the temple.

When the bride and groom along with the family reached the Neelkanth Mahadev temple, they were not allowed to enter inside. They were asked to offer coconuts outside, when there was a dispute between the two sides, someone present there made a video of it and also made it viral on social media. Police are currently investigating the case.
