The District Court of Varanasi has also handed over the right to worship to the Hindu side in the Vyas basement of Gyanvapi. The court has directed the district administration to make arrangements for barricading within 7 days. This basement is built just below the mosque. This is being called a big victory for the Hindu side but the Muslim side is preparing to challenge this decision.

Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, while reacting to the decision of Gyanvapi, has said that we are very disappointed with this decision of the court. The option of going to the High Court against this decision is open. Now it is being said that the puja is going to be conducted by the Kashi Vishwanath Trust Board. The Hindu side has called it a big victory and claimed to have got justice after 30 years. Worship was performed here till November 1993. ASI has surveyed the Gyanvapi complex.

'Namaz should be banned in Gyanvapi, puja should be started', Hindu organization appeals to SC: Not only this, hearing will be held tomorrow on the petition of Shailendra Kumar Pathak, appealing for the right to offer puja in the Vyas basement located in Gyanvapi complex of Varanasi. Later the District Judge had reserved the order. On which the decision has also been taken today.

It is known that on January 17, Vyas ji's basement was taken under control by the district administration on the orders of the court. The basement was cleaned during the ASI survey. Now the District Judge has said in his order that the puja should be done by the priests of Vishwanath temple. Arrangements should be made to remove barricades. All this should be done within 7 days. 

According to the order, the custodian of Vyas ji's basement has now become the District Magistrate of Varanasi. That is why the priest of Vishwanath temple is going to get that basement cleaned. The barricading installed there will be removed and then regular puja will start inside the basement.
