New Delhi: The Central government has categorically refused to open Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi for public entry. The Modi government said Nizamuddin Markaz is still part of the investigation and the side effects of the case are also lying across the border, which is why diplomatic discussions are also involved. In fact, the Delhi Wakf Board had filed a petition in the High Court saying that the premises of Markaz should not be kept locked.

The Delhi Waqf Board also said in the court that the true nature of Nizamuddin Markaz of The Tabalagi Jamaat should be restored. However, the Union Home Ministry, which is in charge of Amit Shah, opposed the demand while filing a reply in the Delhi High Court in the matter. The ministry said Markaz, the mosque, and its operators are part of the investigation, which is still going on. An FIR was also registered in the case. According to the Home Ministry, notices have been sent regarding plots of Masjid Banglewali Markaz, Kashif ul-Uloom Madarsa, and Basti Nizamuddin and it is being examined by summoning documents of its ownership. Tell you that Markaz has been locked since March 31, 2021. The Delhi High Court had sought a response from the Central Government and the police in this regard. The matter will now come up for further hearing in November.

The Delhi High Court also told the police that they cannot keep any property forever, as it was seized after the FIR was lodged. The Delhi High Court asked the police how long it wanted to keep the property and from whom it had acquired its ownership. The High Court said that you will have to return it at some point or the other. According to the central government, 1300 foreigners of Tablighi Jamaat were found living in it.
