New Delhi: Schools closed in Delhi first due to covid and then air pollution are still going to remain closed. Addressing a review meeting on pollution in India's capital Delhi, CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that the decision to open schools is going to be taken only after winter vacation. He has said, "We are going to talk to the Air Quality Commission. Winter vacation is also coming now, I think some decision is going to be taken only after that.''

All schools in The Capital of India were closed in Delhi from December 2 following a Supreme Court directive in view of the growing threat of air pollution. Many other activities were also stopped to see a decline in pollution levels. The Delhi government is now planning to open schools only after winter vacation. Offline studies are likely to be launched in January 2022.

What CM Kejriwal said about Omicron: So far, the CM said, "The government is fully prepared for Omicron. I have also had several review meetings on beds, oxygen, and medicines. We don't want to face omicrons in Delhi, but if this virus wreaks havoc, we're all ready for it. They will also impose restrictions if required. Not needed right now, but we're in constant touch with experts. If it is required for the safety and health of the people of Delhi, we will definitely impose a ban.''
