Shimla: In Himachal Pradesh, the BJP has appointed a new state president. Information about this has been given in the press release issued by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. It has been said in the press release that BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed Dr. Rajeev Bindal as the new State President of Himachal Pradesh BJP.

According to the report, this appointment has been implemented with immediate effect. The BJP has handed over the reins of the organization in Himachal Pradesh to Dr. Rajeev Bindal at a time when the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are round the corner. The party is engaged in preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Bindal, a four-time MLA, has been handed over the reins of the state president for the second time within three years. 

Let us inform that, before Rajeev Bindal, Suresh Kashyap has held the post of state president of BJP. Rajeev Bindal was given the charge of state president in January 2020. During that time Bindal had resigned from the post of Speaker of the Himachal Legislative Assembly to become the State President. Within 4 and a half months of his appointment, Rajeev Bindal had resigned from the post of State President.
