Ahmadabad: The issue of the sale of 'spurious liquor' in Gujarat is taking on a political colour. In the Botad district of the state, 42 people have lost their lives due to the consumption of spurious liquor. After which now the opposition attacked the Gujarat government. Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has expressed concern over the incident. He has said that many houses have been destroyed due to the consumption of poisonous liquor. Drugs worth billions of rupees are being recovered in the state. It is a matter of great concern. After all, what are the ruling forces that are trying to save these drug dealers?

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted from his official Twitter handle, "Many houses in the dry state of Gujarat were destroyed due to consumption of spurious liquor. Billions of drugs are also being recovered there. This is a matter of great concern. Who are these people in the land of Bapu and Sardar Patel, who are doing the drug business in a big way? Which ruling forces are patronising these mafias?'' In fact, there has been a complete liquor ban in Gujarat for many years, in such a situation, the death of people due to illegal consumption has been made an issue by the opposition. The opposition leaders have been continuously targeting the BJP-led Gujarat government.

Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had reacted to the issue, saying, "Innocent children have been orphaned by the poisonous liquor of Gujarat. Is it a crime to raise their issue in the House? Shouldn't the CM of Gujarat resign?'' At the same time, AAP's Twitter handle wrote, "Prime Minister Modi does a lot of Mann Ki Baat, but why do you shy away from discussing poisonous liquor?"
