The manufacturer of both products is Marion Biotech PVT. Ltd. To date, the company's manufacturer has not provided a guarantee to the WHO on safety, due to which it has also issued an alert on the quality of these products.

Significantly, recently, there are reports of the death of children after taking cough medicines in Uzbekistan, after which Noida-based pharma Marion Biotech has been in crisis. According to WHO, laboratory analysis of cough syrup samples carried out by the National Quality Control Laboratories of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan found that both products contained considerable amounts of diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol as contaminants. The United Nations health agency WHO has issued an alert saying that these substandard products are unsafe and their use, especially in children, can lead to serious illness or death. In fact, on December 22, Uzbekistan alleged that 18 children lost their lives due to consuming drugs manufactured by Marion Biotech Company, after which the process of investigation started in India about the company's products. The Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration department has also canceled the production license of Marion Biotech company linked to the death of 18 children in Uzbekistan.
