Dehradun: An angry mob reached Rajpura police outpost after a case of conversion of a woman came to light at Haldwani in Kumaon district of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. There people beat up a young man. The second case is from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, where a student of Class 12 went missing. Now her mother has expressed fears of her daughter's conversion. The incident is being reported from Rajpura police outpost area of Haldwani.
Here, on Tuesday (June 15), some people from the Hindu community living on the goula bank of Rajpura reached the police station. They alleged that a day before, i.e., on Monday, a group of Christian missionaries had come to their area. They misled the Hindu population of the area and pressured a Hindu woman to forcibly convert to Christianity. Hindus allege that on the day they come to the area, the people of Christian missionaries come and lure people with land, money and a happy life in exchange for conversion. In such a situation, Hindu organizations have demanded strict action against these accused. It is alleged that a man was also beaten up by the villagers here. Following this, the police officer arrested three accused on the woman's complaint.
At the same time, the 12th standard student, a resident of Madhuban Bapudham police station area of Ghaziabad, had gone missing from her house on May 25 last. On the complaint of her mother, the police are searching for the girl. Meanwhile, her mother has lured her daughter and expressed fears of her conversion. The victim's mother says that her daughter had started following the customs of another religion in the house. When asked the reason, he didn't say anything. Police are currently investigating the case.
