Every year National Science Day (National Science Day) is celebrated on 28 February in India. Yes, on the same day in the year 1986, Prof. C.V. Raman (Chandrasekhar Venkataraman) had made an excellent scientific discovery in Kolkata. Today he is famous for the 'Raman Effect'. It is said that this discovery of Raman was revealed on 28 February 1930, due to which we celebrate the day of 28 February as National Science Day. Raman was also awarded the Nobel Prize in the year 1930 for his work. The basic purpose of National Science Day is to attract students to science.

On this day, programs related to scientific activities are organized in science institutes, laboratories, science academies, schools, colleges, and training institutes. The Raman effect was discovered in the 19th century and was named after the great scientist CV Raman.
