New Delhi: The municipal corporation proceedings, which began for the mayoral election in Delhi, were adjourned following an uproar. As soon as the House proceedings started, there was a fierce scuffle and assault between the councilors of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Meanwhile, several councilors in the House also lifted chairs and threw them at each other. Standing at the table, the councilors shouted slogans in front of the presiding officer. After this, the process of allegations and counter-allegations also started from both parties.

The mayor of Delhi was to be elected today in the municipal proceedings, but before that, the presiding officer was elected and after that, the presiding officer first called the nominated councilors to take an oath. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councilors started creating a ruckus over this. As soon as the presiding committee was called by the nominated councilors, AAP leader Mukesh Goyal stood up and started opposing, saying that this has been going on for the last 15 years, and now it has to be changed. After that, AAP councilors started creating a ruckus in the House.

The AAP councilors started creating a ruckus and then shouted slogans in front of the presiding officer's table. In fact, in the mayoral election in Delhi, the victory margin has been very small, and both parties are engaged in manipulation. The AAP alleged that the BJP was conspiring to give voting rights to 10 nominated councilors.

At the same time, after the uproar in the municipal proceedings, BJP MP Parvesh Verma has said that our women councilors were abused. The councilors, who came drunk, injured them with fine objects, and pieces of glass and pulled their hair. Along with this, the woman councilor of the BJP alleged that she was manhandled, and prevented from taking oath using foul language. There can't be a dark day in MCD's history than this.
