New Delhi: Hardik Pandya, the star all-rounder of the Indian cricket team, is once again in the news. Actually, after losing the World Test Championship for the second consecutive time, many questions are being raised on Team India. Especially the players of the team are getting a lot of criticism. Team India's spinner all-rounder performs very well in Test matches in Indian conditions. But when it comes to foreign conditions, these all-rounders are seen struggling. In such a situation, India needs a player like former veteran all-rounder Kapil Dev who was a dynamic player and captain.
The one who was able to bowl fast and showed his great batting as well. One minute, Team India has Hardik Pandya who can play a vital role with the bat as well as bowling at good pace. We have seen him doing this many times in the white ball as well. But now the question arises that why Hardik does not play Test cricket?
Since then he had played 11 Tests till 2018, in which he took 17 wickets along with scoring 532 runs. However, he suffered a back injury while bowling in the 2018 Asia Cup, which was quite serious. After this he was away from the game for a long time. Whereas when he returned, he did not bowl at that time.

Not only this but he also said that his fitness is not such that he can play Test cricket. Especially he had a lot of problems with his bowling. In such a situation, he focused more on white ball cricket. At the same time, he did not start bowling till the 2021 World Cup. In such a situation, Pandya took a break from cricket to work on his fitness and directly re-entered the 2022 IPL as an all-rounder. His performance in IPL 2022 was excellent with ball and bat.

Also, after becoming the captain, he made Gujarat Titans the champion in the very first IPL season.Gujrat titans also reached 2023 season finals but lost against CSK. Hardik has been playing ODIs and T20s continuously for India. But he still did not make a comeback in the Test. He feels that his body is not ready for Test cricket. However, overall, Hardik does not play Test cricket anymore because of his fitness.
Recently ex-Indian player and ex-BCCI President Saurav Ganguly after loss of India in WTC Final said ““I hope Hardik Pandya is listening. I want to see him play Test cricket, especially in these conditions”
