Everyone has their own dreams of marriage and to spend their life after marriage with love. But these dreams are fulfilled by all, it is not necessary because with many people it is possible to see that after some time of marriage, their partner goes away from this world due to some disease or some other reason. In such a situation, when a woman's husband passes away, his hands feel sad and despair. The dreams that a woman has seen for her future life before marriage, they all start to break down. Not only this, even today, our society does not look at the legislators from the point of view that they deserve. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of this society that widows should also be given the same status as the rest of the people. In such a situation, international widows' day is celebrated on June 23 every year to honor these women.

In fact, the United Nations General Assembly declared international widows' day for the first time on June 23, 2011, to give a special recognition to the status of scholars of all ages, regions and cultures, and since then, the day is celebrated on June 23 every year. Let us tell you here that the Lumba Foundation of Britain has been campaigning in the United Nations for the last seven years on the atrocities against widowed women all over the world.

Here is the objective: The purpose behind celebrating the day of International Widows Day is to improve the condition of widowed women all over the world, so that they can also lead a normal life like the rest of the people and have the right to equality. This is because no matter how much progress we have made, the widow is still not seen as equal.

Atrocities against widows: Millions of widows in the world  face poverty, violence, exclusion, homeless, sick, health problems and discrimination in law and society. According to an estimate, about 115 million widows are forced to live in poverty, while 81 million are women who are also facing physical abuse.
