Patna: The Supreme Court has issued notices to the central government, the Bihar government and Anand Mohan seeking their response on a petition filed against the release of Bahubali leader Anand Mohan, who is serving a life sentence in the murder of Gopalganj District Magistrate (DM) G Krishnaiah. In fact, the late DM's wife Uma Krishnaiah has challenged the Nitish government's decision of premature release of Anand Mohan in the apex court. In view of the petition, the Supreme Court has asked the government and the parties concerned to respond to them.

Let us tell you that Anand Mohan was released on April 27 last month. He was released from jail at 4:30 in the early hours of the morning. Nitish government had changed the prison rules for the release of Anand Mohan. Along with Anand Mohan, 26 other prisoners were also released from jail, who were serving sentences in serious cases like rape and murder. This decision of the Nitish government was widely criticized by the opposition and alleged that the other 26 prisoners who have been released under the guise of Anand Mohan are all pro-Jungle Raj. Those who will again push Bihar into Jungle Raj in the coming times.

At the same time, DM G Krishnaiah's wife and daughter had also requested to reconsider this decision of Nitish government terming it as unfortunate and had asked to take the matter to the Supreme Court. After which she filed a petition in the apex court against the release of Anand Mohan. On which the hearing took place today.
