Rampur: Another case has been registered against Azam Khan, leader of Samajwadi Party (SP) and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat, over the land belonging to Mohammed Ali Johar University. This time, villagers in Aliaganj village have accused Azam Khan of forcibly occupying his land and mixed it with Azam Khan at Johar University.

It is notable that this is the fourth consecutive case registered against SP MP Azam Khan. All these cases have been registered for illegal possession of land. Cases have also been registered against retired COO Ale Hasan, who was posted in Rampur along with Azam Khan. An FIR has been lodged against Azam Khan on the basis of allegations made by villagers of Aliaganj village.

This FIR is registered under Sections 342, 447, 506 and 384 of the IPC. Police are trying to arrest the first retired CO Ale Hassan in this case. Ale Hassan's son Wasim has been taken into custody and sent to jail for allegedly obstructing police work during the raid. Now, a fourth case has been registered against Azam Khan, which is under investigation.
