New Delhi: After registering 131 new cases of coronavirus infection in India in one day, the number of people infected so far in the country has increased to 4,46,76,330, while the number of patients under treatment has come down to 3,408. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry today i.e. Wednesday (December 21) at 8 am, after the death of one more patient due to infection in West Bengal in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 5,30,680.

At the same time, while re-reconciling the figures of death due to corona infection, Kerala has added two more names to the list of patients who lost their lives due to the global pandemic. According to the latest data, the number of patients under treatment for coronavirus infection has come down to 3,408, which is 0.01 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, a decline of 82 has been registered in the number of patients under treatment. According to statistics, the national rate of recovery of patients in India is 98.80 percent. So far, a total of 4,41,42,242 people have become infection free in the country, while the death rate from the corona is 1.19 percent. 

Let us tell you that on August 7, 2020, the number of coronaviruses infected in India crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs, and on September 5, 2020, 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020, and 90 lakh on 20 November. Let us tell you that the figures of Corona are frightening all over the world and in the last 1 week, 36 lakh cases have been registered all over the world and more than 10 thousand people have lost their lives. In such a situation, concerns about Corona have increased in India as well.
