Since the announcement of the postponement of Shahid Kapoor's movie Jersey, there were reports that many more makers may postpone their movie, in which the name of SS Rajamouli's movie RRR has also appeared. Actually, in view of the increasing cases of Corona, theatres have been closed in Delhi. After which the makers of Jersey announced that they are going to postpone their movie which was releasing on 31st December. Then came the news that the release date of RRR could also be postponed. But SS Rajamouli confirmed that he is not going to postpone the movie and the movie will be released on January 7, which date has already been finalized. Which was informed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh through his tweet. Now the reason for Rajamouli doing this has also come to the fore.
According to media reports, SS Rajamouli and RRR Team had asked many movie producers ranging from Bhimla Nayak to Sarkaru Vaaru Pata to release their films further so that they are going to release RRR. Makers want the audience to watch this movie on the occasion of Pongal and Sankranti. If the news is to be believed, now after the request of the makers of RRR, the producers of the rest of the movies have also released their new release date. Apart from this, on January 7, only the RRR movie is being released in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Now if the team of RRR postpone the movie, then they are not going to get a solo release. Also, it is not going to be right for the rest of the producers who had postponed the release of their movie. So if now they postpone the movie after seeing the Hindi market, then it is going to be a matter of disappointment for all the stakeholders of the local belt. Another piece of information that has come to the fore is that RRR has already sold tickets worth up to $3 million in foreign belts and it is increasing with every hour.
