This also marks their 7th consecutive win over the top ten players. Not only this, at the age of 19, he became the second youngest player to win two Masters 1000 titles. Reports say that his idol Rafael Nadal had previously done this in Monte Carlo and Rome in 2005 at the age of 18. Alcarez is the youngest player to reach the top 10 rankings in 17 years.
