In one of his recent interviews, Nakuul Mehta from the popular daily soap Ishqbaaaz, shared his opinion about the #MeToo movement. The actor asserted  that the time has come for men to be introspective.
In September, 2018,  Tanushree Dutta bravely came forward and shared the incident of sexual harassment by Nana Patekar on the sets of her movie, Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008.
Her bravery led to the initiation of #MeToo movement in India. A year Post the movement started in Hollywood in 2017, it reached India.
Tanushree  became an example for women and inspired many to share their stories.
Many women came forward and shared their experiences and called out the names of sexual predators in the film industry.

The recent accusations perched  on the names of director Rajkumar Hirani by his assisant director from Sanju. The entire film and TV industry came  in  support of the Me Too movement last year but hasn’t opened mouths in this case.
In his alleged interview, actor Nakuul Mehta was questioned  about the same and he averted, "With the #MeToo revolution, the glass ceiling has been shattered, voices have been heard and gender equality has made it through. Now, it is time for men to introspect. #MeToo has made me introspect too. I think about my behaviour in the work space and wonder how I can bring in change. Have I been complicit in anyway or not stood up for a friend? Men need to understand where their prejudices originate from, acknowledge the conditioning of our environment and have dialogues with people."
