In ICC Women's T20 World Cup, there is no provision for Reserve Day on the day of semi-finals. For this reason, India got a final entry with the match being canceled, as it was in the semi-finals while topping its Group-A. Knight said after the match, 'It is really disappointing. We did not want the end of the World Cup in this way. Not a Reserve Day. It does not mean another opportunity. We had to bear the brunt of the defeat against South Africa in the group stage.

Knight, laughing sadly said, 'We learned that the first match has to be won. It became a trend that we could not start the competition well and we had to bear the brunt of it.'
