New Delhi: Union Minister Smriti Irani came in support of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and army after ICC snubbed the BCCI's submission of allowing the army's emblem to be used on Dhoni's wicket-keeping gloves. The Minister of Women and Child Development has posted a photograph of Para Commando special force with hashtag hero and honoured man in support of the same.

As per the information received from sources, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had planted the sacrifice badge logo on his wicketkeeping gloves in the match against South Africa. Following which, on Thursday, the ICC appealed to the BCCI to remove the sign of the sacrifice badge from Dhoni on his gloves and landed in the next match, which has since rocked the entire country. The ICC said that Dhoni's imposition of a sacrifice badge on his gloves is against his rules. Now the BCCI is also looking to soften the matter.

For information, it is understood that Mahendra Singh Dhoni was conferred the title of Lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army in 2011. After that, in the year 2015, Dhoni also completed basic training with para forces and then special training of parachute jumping after which Dhoni was included in the Para Regiment.
