Islamabad: Thousands of people have died in the severe floods in Pakistan. This disaster caused by climate change has broken Pakistan's back on the economic level. Millions of people have become homeless and are forced to live on the roadside. Pakistan was already struggling with financial constraints. Now the World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed the possibility of another disaster in Pakistan. According to the WHO, the second wave of diseases and deaths could cause further devastation in this Muslim country.

WHO has said in a statement that, we are very concerned about the great danger of a second disaster in Pakistan. Health services and infrastructure in Pakistan have been badly damaged after the floods. In such a situation, even after the water recedes, the danger of death is looming on the heads of lakhs of people. Due to the disturbed water supply, people have to drink dirty water. Due to this cholera and diarrhoea are spreading. At the same time, mosquitoes breed in stagnant water which can cause malaria and dengue.

The WHO has said that disruption of health services will hinder unsafe births, risks for people with diabetes and heart, and vaccination of children. The WHO says that if this risk is to be reduced, health services have to be improved immediately. WHO is also assisting Pakistan in this matter. Medical camps have been set up and efforts are being made to provide clean drinking water to the people.
