World Toilet Day is celebrated every year on 19 November. The purpose of this special day is to try to connect and educate the people of the world and their communities to break the stigma of cleanliness and cooperate on cleanliness related issues. The silence/flushing on the issue of toilets and sanitation is fatal. This day is a day to raise awareness about those who do not have access to toilets, despite the human right to clean water and sanitation. This is the day to do something about it.

In the year 2013, the United Nations General Assembly has officially designated 19 November as World Toilet Day.
