NEW DELHI: Thousands of children will gather on August 4 to make the world's largest Tiranga, Delhi chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said.

As the government's 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' continues across the country, Delhi CM Kejriwal announced on Thursday that students from the national capital will create the world's largest 'Tiranga' in the national capital. "The entire country is commemorating the country's 75th anniversary of independence. Thousands of children will assemble in Delhi on August 4 to create the world's largest Tiranga. On this day, we shall commit to making India the number one country in the world "declared Delhi's chief minister.

He also stated that several countries have advanced much quicker than India, and it is past time for India to catch up. "In 75 years, many countries have surpassed us, despite the fact that nature has provided us with plenty. If we want to make progress, we must keep these political parties and leaders at bay "He said.

He emphasised unity as a critical aspect in India's growth, saying, "We came together 75 years ago to push the British out, and we will come together again to make India the number one country in the world. However, everyone must work together to achieve this." Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a government of India programme to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence, as well as the beautiful history of its people, culture, and achievements.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India, who have not only been instrumental in bringing India this far in its evolutionary journey, but also possess the power and potential to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The formal journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav began on March 12, 2021, and will end a year later on August 15, 2023, after a 75-week countdown to the 75th anniversary of independence.
