The relation between former Team India head coach Anil Kumble and current skipper Virat Kohli aren't hidden from any cricket lover and while the two have not come under the same roof since the Jumbo stepped down from his position as India head coach, he was spotted at Virushka's wedding reception in Mumbai, sending Twitter into a meltdown.  

Jumbo was India's head coach for a one-year period before he opted to quit due to differences with captain Kohli and allegedly not being offered a direct contract extension by the board (BCCI). Kumble was appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team in June 2016 and during his one-year term, the Kohli-led Team India won five consecutive Test series from June 2016-March 2017, all at home turf. Under Kumble's guidance, the Men in Blue also registered ODI series win against New Zealand, England and reached the ICC Champions Trophy final.

A few days after the defeat to Pakistan in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy, Kumble met the management and decided against travelling to West Indies for the limited-overs tour, while also handing over his resignation, thus pulling him out of the contenders for the head coach for the next year. Bollywood celebrities such as Boman Irani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Prasoon Joshi, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Kapur were spotted during the early hours of the ceremony while Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Manish Pandey, Cheteshwar Pujara were posing for shutterbugs.
