This news has been given by BCCI Secretary Jai Shah by tweeting. He made three consecutive tweets, stating that the official name of the Women's IPL has now been changed to the Women's Premier League (WPL). The five teams that will enter the first season of the Women's Premier League will be Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Delhi. They have been auctioned. In this, the highest bid has been placed for the Ahmedabad team, which has been placed by the Adani Group. After that, the second number Mumbai team has been bought by Indiawin Sports, a Reliance Group company. That is, this time in the women's IPL, the fans will see Adani Group and Reliance Group teams face to face.

2- Indiawin Sports PVT. LTD (Reliance Group), Mumbai, 912.99 Crore.

5- Capri Global Holdings PVT.LTD, Lucknow, 757 Crore.

The BCCI has not yet released the schedule of the Women's Premier League, but according to the reports, this tournament can be held from March 4 to 26 this year. Before this, the player's auction is also to be held regarding the women's IPL. There is a possibility of 22 matches in the first season. All these matches can be held at Brabourne Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The Wankhede Stadium will be kept fresh for the men's IPL. The tournament is likely to be held from March 31 to April 1.
