Then the 1986 Chennai Test match between India and Australia ended in a tie. In the WTC 2021-23 points table, the Australian team entered the final with 152 points and Team India (127 points) secured the second position. Anyway, both teams also deserved to make it to the final in a way, because in the ICC rankings, the Indian team is first and the Australian team is in second place.
