London: New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and elected to bowl first in the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India on Saturday. The first day's play could not be played due to rain. Team India were one for 62 after the end of 21 overs.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma (34) and Shubman Gill (27) shared a half-century partnership for the first wicket. The duo added 61 runs together. After which Rohit Sharma fell to Jamieson for a personal score of 34 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubhaman Gill are currently present at the crease. India have not made any changes to the team announced two days ago. Both spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have been included in the squad. New Zealand have relied on a sharp attack with Colin de Grandhomme, Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Neil Wagner and Kyle Jamison. New Zealand have not given a single spinner a place in their squad.

ICC had already kept in the reserve for the match one day. If the rain wasted the overs of the match, it was decided to make the day reserved for the remaining overs of the match. Now, after the entire day of the match is ruined, the start of the game will be considered from the second day itself.
