Wuhan menu card for PM Modi depicts Indian touch

Wuhan [China], Apr. 28 (NT): Chinese President Xi Jinping has paid special attention to bid a farewell to his Indian counterpart Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the last leg of his two-day informal visit to China's central Wuhan city.

The Wuhan menu card which was designed for the private lunch hosted by President Xi for Prime Minister Modi has depicted colours of the Indian flag-saffron, white and green, along with the picture of Indian national bird peacock.

According to sources, President Xi had left no stone unturned with monitoring small details for hosting PM Modi.

The private lunch was hosted by the Chinese President in honour of Prime Minister Modi in Wuhan before he headed for New Delhi.

Wrapping up a successful two-day informal Wuhan summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday departed for New Delhi.

During the informal –turned –formal tour, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by President Xi at the East Lake guesthouse.On the first day of the summit on Friday, Xi-Modi held one-to-one talks, where they talked about the historical past of both India and China.

After that, President Xi hosted Prime Minister Modi on a tour of the exhibition of Marquis Yi of Zeng Cultural Relics and Treasure at Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan.

During the visit both the leaders held delegation-level talks and underscored the need for strengthening bilateral ties between India and China.

On Day 2 of their 'informal talks' with a walk along the East Lake in Wuhan today, Prime Minister Modi and the Chinese President took pleasure in a boat ride.
