Today is the birthday of Bollywood film legend filmmaker-director Yash Chopra. He has given many great films to Bollywood. Yash Chopra's movies have been seen as special days in Hindi films. Hardly any other director has been able to portray the way he has portrayed love, passion and madness in films. Yash Chopra was born on September 27, 1932, in Lahore. Yash Chopra's elder brother BR Chopra was also a well-known filmmaker-director of the film industry Hindi. Yash Chopra started his career as a co-director with his brother. He was associated with films including 'Naya Daur', 'Ek Rasta' and 'Sadhana'. As a director Yash Chopra made his debut film 'Dhool Ka Phool' in the year 1959.

Yash Chopra has given Bollywood more than one great film but along with Shah Rukh Khan, he co-created a new definition of romance. There was a time when Yash Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan became very familiar to each other. The friendship between the two started with the film 'Darr'. There is also an interesting story related to the film.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan played Rahul Mehra in the film 'Darr'. Yash Chopra however did not want to take Shah Rukh Khan in the movie. According to reports, the character was offered to Ajay Devgn at that time but he refused due to busy schedule. Then Aamir khan was asked for it and he too did not show interest in it. Nobody wanted to do it even because of the negative role. The character finally came to Shah Rukh after Ajay Devgn and Aamir refused.
