I will protect the freedom of expression and the freedom of the press in addition to the rights provided under the Constitution. I condemn the arrest of Mohammad Zubair. Yashwant Sinha has called the arrest of Zubair illegitimate.'

Former Union Minister and TMC leader Yashwant Sinha asked the press persons to ask NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu what are her views on the country's current economic situation as well as foreign policy. Also, what does she feel about what is happening in society? He said that if it comes to his knowledge as President that the Center is doing something which is obstructing democracy by toppling elected governments like Maharashtra and other states, then he will stop the central government from doing so.
