Washington: Time magazine on Wednesday (December 7) named Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of war-torn Ukraine, as its 'Person of the Year' for 2022. Time said he inspired the citizens of Ukraine and won global acclaim for his courage in resisting Russia's devastating attack.

Time magazine reported on its annual award selections, "Refusing to leave Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, when Russian bombs rained down the outbreak of war, the former comedian united his compatriots with radio broadcasts from the capital and Traveled in his war-torn country.'' Let us tell you that, on Tuesday, Zelenskyy reached Ukrainian soldiers near the front line in eastern Ukraine. Time wrote about the 44-year-old leader that, 'Zelenskyy's success as a wartime leader is based on the fact that courage is contagious. In 2014, one of Zelenskyy's predecessors, Viktor Yanukovych, fled Kyiv after protesters approached his residence.'
