In the ongoing 2017 Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati men's doubles event  Leander Paes and his men's doubles partner Alexander Zverev Jr. got defeated by the Spain's Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez .

With this the duo is crashed out of the U.S. Open warm-up tournament. They got defeated by 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-6 in the opening round match.

Meanwhile, in the women's doubles clash  Sania Mirza and her Chinese partner Peng Shuai performed well to book their spot inquarter-finals of 2017 Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati as they defeated German- Ukraine duo of Julia Gorgesand and Olga Savchuk.
