VK Sasikala who is dear friend of late CM J Jayalalithaa wrote three letters and sent it to President Pranab Mukherjee, PM Narendra Modi and Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. In it, she has thanked the leaders for personally paying the condolences over the death of AAIDMK leader.
On 18 December, the copy of all three letters were released in the media. In the letter, to PM Modi she wrote that “It was extremely kind of you Sir, to have visited Chennai and paid your condolences to me personally,”.
“Your words of sympathy to me, in my hour of personal grief, overwhelmed me in everyway,” this is what she wrote in Gandhi's letter.
