Somnath: A case of the murder of a daughter has come to light due to superstition in Gujarat. In fact, the father and uncle here suspected that the girl had ghosts and due to this, the girl was tied to a sugarcane field and beaten and kept hungry which led to her death. In fact, the family had faith in exorcism and believed that the ghost would run away from tantric rituals and assault. When the girl's mother and maternal grandfather came to know about the incident, they lodged an FIR, then the matter came to light. The incident reportedly took place in Dhawa village of Talala in Gir Somnath district. In this case, the police have arrested the accused Bhavesh (in a black T-shirt) and his brother Dilip (in a grey T-shirt). It is being told that the police have informed that the deceased Dhairya was 14 years old and she was studying in class 9. She had been living at her uncle Dilip Akbari's house in Dhawa village for nearly a year. After this, both of them chose the path of mechanism to exorcise him with mutual advice. On October 1, Dilip and Bhavesh took Dhairya to the sugarcane field in the village and tied her up there. Two days later, the two brothers reached the field and assaulted Dhairya. After suffering all this, Dhairya became unconscious and the two brothers left her in the same condition and came home. Then about two days later, on October 5, he went to the field and saw that the daughter was lying in the same condition. Even then they did nothing. At the same time, when both of them reached the field at 11 am on October 7, the daughter's body was stinking and there were insects. During that time he thought that his daughter had died. The two then burnt the daughter's body in the field the same night. The next day, the girl's mother, who lives in Surat, was informed about her daughter's death. The police have arrested both the accused in the case. After questioning them, some items and the burnt body of the daughter have been recovered from the field.
