Islamabad: Pakistan is facing a serious economic crisis with short supplies of foreign currency reserves and stagnating growth. The price of Roti and Nans have increased significantly. The government has recently convened a cabinet meeting to provide relief to the troubled public and has called for an immediate reduction in the prices of bread and naan. The decision is expected to bring back the hike in gas rates for roadside tandoors to bring down the price of bread and naan. There was also a protest against the government's move to raise gas prices in the cash-strapped Imran Khan. After the Cabinet meeting, Information Minister Firdaus Ashiq Awan said: "The Prime Minister has taken a tough stand on the rising prices of naan and roti. "Pakistan is currently facing a low supply of foreign exchange reserves and a severe economic crisis," he said, adding that steps are being taken to bring Naan and Roti at an old price. A few days ago, the IMF has agreed to provide a $6 billion loan to Pakistan in three years. Ever since Imran took over pak, he has suddenly faced new challenges.
