Kolkata: Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee has issued proposals against the CAA in the Legislative Assembly, not only in the country one after the other, but in West Bengal. Protests across the country continue in protest against CAA. At the same time, after Kerala, Punjab and Rajasthan, a proposal against the CAA will be presented in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Monday. If this proposal against the CAA is passed here, it will be the fourth such state in the country. Significantly, in West Bengal, Trinamool Congress chief and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been opposing this law since the beginning. It is being said that the performance against CAA is constantly increasing. After Kerala, Punjab and Rajasthan, today will also be introduced in West Bengal on 27 January. The Trinamool Congress Party will present this proposal in the House today. Both the Congress and the Left parties are supporting this proposal being brought by the West Bengal government. According to the information received, the Mamta government will also go to the Supreme Court on this issue. Information has been received that on 22 January, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee opened a front against the central government by taking out a procession in the hills of Kolkata and Siliguri. In this sequence, Mahajulus was also taken out under the leadership of Chief Minister in Darjeeling city. The procession went from Rarbatsan Road to Gandhi Road, DB Giri Road, NH 55 to Darjeeling Motor Stand and later converted into a meeting. On seeing the Mahajulus, it seemed as if people from all over the mountain had come to join it. Addressing the public meeting here, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said that we are all Indians but BJP is trying to divide the country in the name of this law. Is there any respect for the people living in the hills, whenever the election time comes, the voters of the hills are bought and paid.
