Washington: There has been a big relief from the Joe Biden government of America to those Indians who were waiting for working visas for a long time. The US Embassy has accepted the visa applications of Indians working in America. This information has been given by the embassy through a tweet on Friday (October 14). The embassy has accepted applications from over one lakh Indians. Let us tell you that last month, the Indian Foreign Minister raised this issue in a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. After which he assured that this problem will be resolved soon.

The US Embassy in India tweeted, "Due to the high demand for employment-based visas, the US Mission to India has recently placed over 1 lakh appointments for H&L Visa employees and their families." Further, the US Embassy has written that 'Thousands of applicants have already booked appointments, we have halved the appointment and interview waiver for the first time due to Mission India. This large amount of appointments accepted reflects our commitment to H&L employees.''

The embassy has given information in this regard by tweeting one after the other. In its third tweet, the embassy wrote that 'In fact, in the first nine months of 2022, the US Mission to India has already issued more than 160,000 H&L visas. We will continue to prioritize H&L employees as resources permit.'

Earlier last month, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in a conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken raised the issue of pending US visa applications from India. On this issue, the top US diplomat said that he is sensitive to this matter, and he has a plan to resolve it.
